A 27-year-old man who was identified as Keshon Arthur of Mahaica, East Coast Demerara, lost his life early this morning following an accident at Haslington “Turn”, ECD.
According to information received, Arthur had attended the Me You and R&B show at the National Park in Georgetown along with friends and was returning home when the accident occurred.
Reports indicate that he left the show in the company of his friends, whom he dropped off on the East Bank of Demerara around 4:00h today before making his way home.
However, while heading to Mahaica, Arthur’s vehicle was involved in a collision with another motorcar. The circumstances surrounding the crash remain unclear at this time.
This publication was told that police and emergency responders arrived on the scene, where Arthur was pronounced dead.
Information reaching this publication suggests that other persons were also injured in the accident.
Investigations are ongoing.
