Labourer feared dead after falling into Pomeroon River

[www.inewsguyana.com] – A 39 – year – old Labourer of Manawarin, Region One, Barima Waini disappeared in the Pomeroon River after accidentally falling overboard from the Charity Farmers Wharf.

The man has been identified as Andrew Miguel.

Reports indicate that the incident occurred around 13:00hrs today (Wednesday, March 19).

The man who came to Charity to shop earlier in the day with his wife Rose, had sent the woman home; telling her that he would come shortly.

Miguel reportedly consumed alcohol and later fell into the river.

A search is currently on for his body.
