Father of 12 charged with dangerous driving

[www.inewsguyana.com] – Minibus driver Adrian Brandt was placed on $40,000 bail by Magistrate Faith McGusty on a dangerous driving charge.

During his appearance in the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, March 19 he pleaded not guilty to the offence, which alleged that on February 21 at Croal and Camp Street, Georgetown; he drove minibus BRR 5727 in a manner dangerous to the public.

Brandt told the Court that on the day in question; he crashed into a vehicle which was undertaking his vehicle at the time. The accused pleaded with the Magistrate to be lenient with him as he noted he has been out of work since February 21.

Brandt, a father of twelve will return to Court on April 8.
