[www.inewsguyana.com] – Guyanese will be treated to a spectacular musical concert on Saturday night as John Legend, Beres Hammond and JMC Triveni take to the stage at the Guyana National Stadium.
At the moment, all the artistes for the show are present in Guyana. Today, Friday January 3, John Legend held a press conference at the Fly Jamaica Airline office at Ogle.
The soulful singer said that he would love to be the person ending the show even as the promoters have not yet publically stated in which order the three power houses will be performing.
Beres Hammond, who has been in Guyana since Thursday was unable to make an appearance at the Ogle press conference but held a separate one at the Princess Hotel on the East Bank of Demerara.
Asked about his performance on Saturday night, Legend said that as usual he will excite the gathering and perform to the best of his ability. He is also anxious to try the various cuisines available in Guyana since it is something he always looks forward wherever he travels.
On the question of him being so famous and when he first knew that he was going to be a popular figure, the artiste said that he first knew he was going to be popular when he got a call from Oprah Winfrey and Magic Johnson on the same day.
The show, entitled “Night of Love” has been publicized since 2013 and is a collaborative effort between the Ministry of Tourism, Mc Neil Enterprise and Hits and Jams Entertainment. [Leroy Smith]
