According to residents about 11:30 hrs, a heavy and unexpected force of wind struck the area resulting in five poles almost toppling, one after the other. One of the collapsed poles ended up on the roof of a house in the area. However, no one was injured.

The residents asserted that there was no spark or blow out of the transformer due to this collapse.

When INews visited the area, Guyana Power and Light (GPL) workers were already there and had commenced replacing the poles.
