Minister Dr Frank Anthony on Monday handed over approximately 13 all-terrain vehicles (ATVs), four utility vehicles (XUVs), and seven motorcycles to Regions One, Seven, Eight and Nine as part of efforts to strengthen healthcare delivery in hinterland communities.

The Minister stated that the vehicles will support health centres and hospitals in conducting outreach services, improving the ability of healthcare workers to reach remote villages and communities.

He added that the transportation will also make it easier for patients to access healthcare facilities and receive timely medical attention.

The initiative forms part of the Ministry of Health’s ongoing commitment to improving healthcare access, emergency response, and medical services across Guyana’s hinterland regions.
