Granger at the handing over ceremony noted that the gesture was something he always interested in; highlighting that sport is an integral part of developing Guyana. Kashif Muhammad and Aubrey ‘Shanghai’ Major received the trophy on behalf of their organisation and thanked Granger who is a first time sponsor of the event.
The David Granger Fair Play award will be given to one of the 16 participating teams that exhibit good behaviour and sportsmanship in the tournament.
