Hundreds of fans gathered outside the local CPL Box Office on Camp Street, Georgetown, from Thursday evening into Friday morning as ticket sales began for the Guyana leg of the 2026 Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League.
The Guyana Amazon Warriors will play five home matches, beginning against new franchise Jamaica Kingsmen on Friday, September 4, at 7:00 p.m.
The Warriors will then face the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots on Sunday, September 6, from 10:00 a.m., before meeting the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons on Tuesday, September 8, at 7:00 p.m.
Their final two home games will be against the St Lucia Kings on Wednesday, September 9, and the Trinbago Knight Riders on Friday, September 11. Both matches will begin at 7:00 p.m.
Tickets cost $7000 for the Green Stand, $6500 for the Red Stand, $4000 for the Orange Stand and $2500 for the Grass Mound.
The tournament officially bowls off on Friday evening, August 7, with the Jamaica Kingsmen facing the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons in Kingstown, St. Vincent & the Grenadines.
The Kingsmen are the CPL’s newest franchise and the second Jamaican team to compete in the tournament following the Tallawahs, who have been defunct since 2023.
Meanwhile, the Barbados Royals have returned to their original name, Barbados Tridents, which they used during the first eight seasons of the competition. The rebranding also applies to the franchise’s team in the expanded four-team Women’s CPL.
Matches will be played across a record-equalling eight Caribbean nations: Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica, St Kitts and Nevis, St Lucia, St Vincent and the Grenadines, and Trinidad and Tobago.
The top four teams at the end of the league phase will qualify for the playoffs, scheduled for September 17 and 18 at Kensington Oval in Barbados. The same venue will host the final on September 20.
