[www.inewsguyana.com] – The Guyana Defence Force was forced to postpone the final day of their annual athletics championships that was scheduled for Friday at the Camp Ayanganna Ground.
The postponement came as a result of bad weather, which caused parts of the ground to be water logged. While no date has been named as yet to conclude the event; it is understood that the military men will host the final day of the championship later in the new week.
Two days of the championship had already been concluded heading into the final day. The championship normally is for the qualifiers to be selected to the GDF team to represent the army at the Inter Services Athletics Championships also known as the Joint Services Sports.
