Four hospitalised after speeding mini bus crashes into motorcyclist

[www.inewsguyana.com] – Four persons were rushed to the Charity Hospital and subsequently transferred to the Suddie Hospital on Wednesday morning (September 9, 2015) after a minibus collided with a motorcyclist on the Dunkel public road, Essequibo Coast at around 7:30 hrs.

iNews understands that the minibus was speeding in a southern direction to Anna Regina when it collided with the motorcyclist, after attempting to overtake the rider.

According to reports reaching iNews, the motorcyclist indicated that he was turning off from the public road to an access dam when he was hit by the minibus.

Residents told iNews that the bus flipped several times before crashing into the fence of a resident. At the time of the accident, the vehicle had two passengers along with the conductor.

The motorcyclist reportedly suffered serious injuries to his head, face and other parts of his body while the conductor of the bus was also seriously injured and in a critical condition.

During the collision, the helmet of the motorcyclist fell off his head. Police are investigating the accident.
