Duo remanded on armed robbery charges

[www.inewsguyana.com] – Two men were remanded after being charged with robbery under arms. Scion Grant and Ronlee Rampersaud also had the charge of conspiracy read to them.

It is alleged on Friday November 14 at Georgetown, they conspired with others to commit a felony, which is robbery under arms.

The Court heard that on the day in question on Sherriff Street, Georgetown, being armed with a gun they robbed Leoni Sammoogan of $20,000 cash, property of Wong Chan Tan.

They were not required to plea to the charges.

  1. Guyana police force is no good. From the minister right down to those so called base commanders need to be fired. Guyanese people are no longer safe in their own homes and the ppp is doing nothing to fix this problem.
