Residents of Moruca, Region One (Barima-Waini) were encouraged not to waste their votes and take chances that can put their community’s development at risk.

Parliamentary Secretary Sarah Browne urged residents, “don’t waste your vote behind a sanctioned man”.

She was at the time addressing a public meeting hosted by the People’s Progressive Party Civic (PPP/C) in the community.

Browne pointed to the progress made in a range of sectors, urging residents to reflect on how their lives have improved under the President Dr Irfaan Ali-led government.

Noting that President Ali has proven himself as a good leader, she encouraged residents to vote for the cup on September 1.

Echoing similar sentiments was Minister within the Ministry of Housing and Water Susan Rodrigues who urged residents to be careful “not to take a chance that can set your community decades back”.

“We cannot afford at this critical point to reverse the progress,” she emphasised, urging residents to allow President Ali to finish the work he has started.
