Colonels Phillips, Lovell officially promoted to Brigadier

Commander – in – Chief of the Armed Force, President Donald Ramotar today officially promoted Colonel Mark Phillips and Colonel Julian Lovell to the post of Brigadier.

The ceremony took place at the Office of the President, and during brief remarks, both men committed to executing their duties with the highest level of professionalism.

Additionally, President Ramotar congratulated the duo on their accomplishments.

Brigadier Phillips is expected to assume the command and control of the Guyana Defence Force, following the retirement of Chief of Staff, Rear Admiral Gary Best on September 20.
