A prisoner has escaped the New Amsterdam prison.
Reports are that the inmate was working on a farm next to the facility when he jumped the fence and entered a prison officer’s house.
The prisoner allegedly stole some money and clothes, and then made his good escape.
Police are presently at the scene.
