A 47-year-old Brazilian gold miner was allegedly murdered last night at Sourie Backdam, Puruni.
According to the police, the incident occurred at approximately 20:00hrs last night, when the Brazilian man, Helio Xavier Neves was allegedly involved in an argument with another male over parts for an excavator machine.
The altercation resulted in Neves being dealt multiple chops about his body by the suspect.
Neves was rushed to the Bartica Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The suspect is yet to be apprehended by police, as the investigations continue.
