Body of murdered miner arrives at Ogle

IMG-20131121-06002[www.inewsguyana.com] – The body of Brazilian National Danderlei Kienen was brought to city by an aircraft attached to the Mission of Hope Humanitarian mission.

The body of the 46 – year – old of Light Street Georgetown was received by undertakers of the Lyken Funeral Parlor and a member of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Guyana Police Force.

The body arrived at 15.00 on Thursday afternoon and was accompanied by a man who is also a close associate of the businessman.

Lienen was killed on Wednesday night (November 20) at 111 Miles, Mahdia.

According to the Police, the Brazilian miner was at his business place at Mahdia when he was confronted by three men who were armed with knives and demanded gold and cash.

According to the Police, during the armed robbery Kienen was fatally stabbed by the perpetrators, who took away an undisclosed sum of cash and a quantity of gold and escaped.

A suspect has been arrested and is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
