A 17-year-old of Number Two Village, East Canje, Berbice has been arrested and charged for driving under the influence of alcohol.
Kelvin Clifford reportedly drove motorcar PRR 7584 while he was above the prescribed legal alcohol limit. He was said to be 0.42 and 0.39 micrograms above the prescribed limit.
Reports are that on Tuesday at around 22:00hrs, he careened off the roadway at Number One Village and crashed his vehicle.
There were no injuries to himself or others, Police said.
The teen will appear at the Albion Magistrate’s Court on March 23 to answer to the charge.
