Another plane crashes in the interior, authorities investigating

Weeks after a plane crashed in Eteringbang (Region 7, Cuyuni-Mazaruni) leaving the pilot dead, INews was informed that yet another aircraft, belonging to Wing’s Aviation, crashed on Tuesday after departing from the Eteringbang airstrip.

This information was confirmed by Police “F” Division Commander, Rabindranauth Budhram as well as Captain Gerry Gouveia.

Rashan Reid, Public Communications Officer of the Guyana Civil Aviation Authority, speaking with this publication, said that the Cessna aircraft bearing registration number 8R-GPR did not have any passengers at the time of flight and based on his information no one, including the pilot, was injured.

The relevant authorities are presently heading to the scene.

Just two weeks ago, a Roraima Airlines plane crashed in Eteringbang, resulting in the death of the pilot- Major (ret’d) Collin Martin.
