A 93-year-old woman this afternoon perished in a fire that destroyed her home at Castello Housing Scheme, Georgetown.
Dead is Rosa Singh, who was home alone at the time of the blaze.
The woman lived at the property with her son but at the time, he was not at home.
It is unclear how the fire started. Investigations are ongoing.
