44 acres of Marijuana fields destroyed in Berbice

[www.inewsguyana.com] – During Friday May 02, police ranks conducted drug eradication operations at Gateroy, Berbice River.

A total of 44 acres under cultivation with approximately 145,000 cannabis sativa (marijuana) plants ranging in height from 1 foot to 14 feet, along with 16 camps and approximately 8,000 kilograms of dried marijuana were found and destroyed.

No one was arrested, according to the Police Public Relations Unit.
