$138M to be spent on ‘sprucing up’ Carifesta Ave

Government plans to spend a whopping $138 million on works to further improve the already well lit Carifesta Avenue.

According to an advertisement placed in the media by the Ministry of Public Infrastructure `Urban renewal on Carifesta Avenue: Avenue of the Caribbean’ project is divided into two parts.

One aspect of the project will tackle lighting, while the second deals with civil works.

According to the ad, bidding will be done through the National Competitive Bidding procedure specified in the Procurement Act of 2003. The date for the opening of the bids is April 5, 2016 at the National Procurement and Tender Administration Board, Main and Urquhart Streets, Georgetown.
