Narine pleaded guilty to the charge, which stated that on September 1 at Lot 173 Sheriff Street, Georgetown he stole one wood spray valued $1,595, property of Survival Supermarket.
Police Prosecutor Michael Grant told the Court that on the day in question, at around 19:00 hrs the defendant went into the supermarket and was seen by the security guard picking up the item and placing it in his pants pocket.
As he was making his way out of the Supermarket, he was confronted by the security guard and subsequently the Police was summoned. Narine told the Court that he was drunk and he was not fully aware of what he was doing.
