[www.inewsguyana.com] – The Youth Basketball Guyana (YBG) tournament is underway with its Regional Conferences with the first two games tipping off in Berbice on Monday, April 20.

Game one saw Berbice Educational Institute topping Vryman’s Erven 31-20 as Shamar France led the team to victory in a dominant fashion by scoring 22 of his team’s 31 points. Mark Wilson was only able to muster eight points as the highest scorer for Vryman’s Erven.

Meanwhile, in Game two, Neil Wills’ outburst of 17 points and six rebounds along with three steals led New Amsterdam Multilateral School to a comfortable 34-24 win over New Amsterdam Technical Institute.

A number of other conferences will tip off by this weekend while the Georgetown Conference is set to start on Saturday.
