A 39-year-old woman from Kitty, Georgetown was nabbed by alert Police ranks at a checkpoint at Itaballi, Region Seven (Cuyuni-Mazaruni) with four parcels of marijuana (weed).
In a statement, Police said that around 13:00h on Tuesday, ranks of the Guyana Police Force on duty at the Itaballi Police Checkpoint conducted a search of a jacket belonging to the Georgetown woman and found in its pockets four taped parcels of cannabis weighing in excess of one kilogram.
The woman is being processed for court.
