The Who’s Who in Guyana Business Directory celebrated the launch of its 2026 Edition, marking the seventh annual publication of this leading national business reference. The event, held on Monday evening at the Guyana Marriott Hotel, brought together distinguished members of Guyana’s private and public sectors, international partners, and business leaders for an evening of recognition, inspiration, and networking.

The launch featured an engaging agenda that included remarks from Dr. Vishnu Doerga, Publisher of the Who’s Who in Guyana Business, H.E. Jane Miller, Dr. Peter Ramsaroop, and Hon. Susan Rodrigues, culminating in an electrifying keynote presentation by international motivational speaker Mr. Kaplan Mobray.

“When we started this journey, the goal was simple and ambitious at the same time: to create a trusted bridge between credible companies and serious decision-makers, here and across the region. That bridge keeps getting stronger because of the valuable people in this room,” said Dr. Vishnu Doerga.

Since its inception, the Who’s Who in Guyana Business Directory has become the definitive guide for investors, entrepreneurs, and professionals navigating Guyana’s expanding economy. Each year, over 10 000 physical copies are distributed across the private and public sectors, embassies, trade missions, and international conferences.

In addition, the online platform attracts over 2 million website visits annually, reflecting its expanding influence as a digital hub for B2B networking and investment insight. The 2026 edition, which features the new Bharrat Jagdeo Demerara River Bridge on its cover, highlights more than 200 companies across energy, ICT, manufacturing, finance, agriculture, tourism, and construction, among other sectors.

At the launch, Susan Rodrigues, Minister of Tourism, Industry and Commerce, emphasised that the directory stands as “a living instrument of national development, a
collective of enterprise and a symbol of Guyana’s modern economic identity.” She commended the publication for “helping local actors project themselves globally, attract credible partnerships, and strengthen the scaffolding for sustained growth across all sectors.” The Minister further highlighted government efforts to digitise services, improve ease of business, and diversify the economy beyond traditional industries, underscoring that “Guyana is open for business, and ready to work with the world.”

International keynote speaker Mr. Kaplan Mobray delivered an inspiring address titled “The Power of Corporate Identity: To Grow Your Business”, urging attendees to “be the bridge for growth” and to define clear standards of excellence for their brands. “Great brands have standards,” he said, “and it’s that standard that shapes investment, trust, and opportunity. Growth is not a post, it’s a promise, and every business here has the chance to be a reward, not just available.” His presentation encouraged the business community to embrace collaboration, purpose, and the mindset of possibility in driving sustainable growth.

High Commissioner Jane Miller also commended the publication’s impact, noting that this marks the fifth edition she has supported since her tenure began. She praised Who’s Who for “amplifying Guyana’s voice on the global business stage” and for “shaping international perceptions of a country that is not only rich in opportunity but strong in enterprise.”

Produced by ActionINVEST Caribbean Inc., the Who’s Who in Guyana Business Directory serves as the premier platform for corporate visibility, investor engagement, and industry networking. Its printed and digital editions collectively amplify the voices of Guyana’s leading enterprises while providing credible, accessible information to local and international stakeholders.
