Tuschen man found dead at home

A 54-year-old unemployed man from the Tuschen Housing Scheme, East Bank Essequibo (EBE) was found dead in his home on Wednesday at around 17:00hrs.

Azad Khan, who lived alone, was last seen alive at around 07:00hrs on the same day by his landlord who was heading to work.

At around 17:00hrs, the landlord said when he returned home, he called out several times to Khan but got no response.

The landlord said he decided to look through the window where he observed the man in a motionless state.

The body was examined by detectives and no marks of violence were found, however, what appeared to be ejected matters from the stomach was seen on his bed and his mouth.

The body was taken to the Leonora Cottage Hospital where it was examined and pronounced dead. An investigation has been launched.
