[www.inewsguyana.com] – Essequibo Magistrate Sunil Scarce on Monday (December 16) granted truck driver Chandra Shekar Seecharran of Reliance Village, Essequibo Coast $300,000 bail when he appeared in the Charity Magistrate’s Court to answer to a charge of causing death by dangerous driving.
The driver was represented by Attorney-at-Law Hemraj Rajkumar who pleaded for bail for his client. There was no objection from Prosecutor Krishna Datt Ramana to bail and it was granted.
According to reports on December 12, Seecharran drove in a dangerous manner to the public hitting Narine on the Airy Hall Public Road, Essequibo Coast. The driver will make another appearance in Court on January 30.
