In yet another addition to Guyana’s road fatalities, a 30-year-old taxi driver met his demise yesterday afternoon after the vehicle he was travelling in collided into a lamp post and a parked car on the East Bank Of Demerara.
According to reports, Trenton Dazzel of Sophia, Georgetown was travelling to the city on the Den Heuvel, East Bank Demerara public road in motor car PRR 915 around 15:00hrs, when he lost control while driving on the wet road.
His vehicle reportedly skid and slammed into a lamp post, then a parked car on the public road.
He was subsequently rushed to the Diamond Diagnostic Centre (DDC) by public spirited persons. However, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after.
