[www.inewsguyana.com] – A delegation of Swedish investors met with Head of State, Donald Ramotar to discuss the possibility of investing in Guyana’s growing economy.

The team of officials that encompassed eight different companies from Sweden has been visiting different Caribbean nations. Member of the team, Bertil Karlsson said during the meeting several areas of interest were discussed with the President including using modern techniques to improve deficiencies in lumbering.

Other areas relevant to Guyana, Karlsson said, will include surveillance applications, solar energy, and environmental monitoring.

Karlsson and his delegation are expected to have a follow-up meeting next week where further discussions will be held.
