Sophia resident granted $200,000 bail following Break & Enter charge

[www.inewsguyana.com] – Thirty – year – old labourer of North Sophia, Greater Georgetown, was ordered to post $200,000 bail on a break and enter and larceny charge.

Before Magistrate Ann McLennan, the defendant Raul Hinds pleaded not guilty to the charge, which alleged that between April 13 and 14 at North Sophia, he broke and entered the storeroom of Andrew Chand and stole one electrical power saw, one sand machine and one electrical drill together valued $175,000.

Police Prosecutor Dinero Jones did not object to the pretrial liberty of the defendant. Hinds will make his next Court appearance before Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry on May 23.
