[www.inewsguyana.com] – A Security Guard who has been identified as 64 – year – old Hamjad Ally was found early this morning (Sunday, January 4), hanging from a high fence at his Queenstown, Georgetown worksite (Best Buy Auto Sales company).
The discovery was made by another employee around 06:00 hours. The man was reportedly hanging by his shirt.
It is believed that Ally was attempting to leave his worksite during the course of the night by jumping the fence when his shirt got tangled; strangling him.
Persons recall seeing him jumping the fence in the past.
Persons say the man may have also been intoxicated since several empty beer bottles were found nearby.
A police investigation has been launched.
