Robbery accused granted bail

A break-and-enter accused was granted bail yesterday, when he appeared before Magistrate Fabayo Azore at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.

It is alleged that on October, 13, 2016 Reon Jones broke into the premises of Philbert Fields and stole one television set valued $285,000 and one cell phone valued $5000. Additionally, he was charged for escaping police custody on October 14, 2016.

However, the prosecution file is yet to be completed and as such the defendant was granted bail in the sum of $75,000 and will return to court on October 26, 2016.
