Reg. 2 man remanded for inciting persons to commit terrorist act

A 30-year-old barber, Albert Ramnauth, of Lot 170, Pomona Housing Scheme, Essequibo Coast, Region Two, has been remanded to prison for inciting persons to commit a terrorist act.

Ramnauth appeared before Magistrate Ravindra Mohabit at the Charity Magistrate’s Court, to answer to the offence of “Using a Computer System to incite Persons to Commit a Terrorist Act.”

When the charge was read to him he was not required to plea and was remanded to prison until November 27.

“The offense was committed on Public Justice, to incite persons to commit a terrorist Act, that is to say on November 7, 2025, in a Facebook comment he wrote “Bomb the Police Headquarters Next”,” the Guyana Police Force (GPF) noted.
