Returning Officer for Region Five has declared the results of the General and Regional Elections for that voting district.
Based on the declared results, the PPP/C has won the region.
In the general elections, the PPP/C garnered 18,432 votes, APNU got 6,480, AFC received 208, ALP got 58, FGM secured 128 while WIN won 5,816.
In the regional elections, the PPP/C earned 18,273 votes, APNU got 6,441, AFC received 210 votes, ALP got 59, FGM won 127 while WIN secured 5,808.
