President Dr Mohamed Irfaan Ali has announced that post offices in Guyana will be transformed into government service centres, expanding their role beyond traditional postal services.
The initiative seeks to transform the facilities to deliver a wider range of government services, making them more accessible to communities.
The president made the announcement on Monday during a consultation with residents at the Goed Fortuin Primary School in Region Three.
“We have to change all of the post offices beyond beyond postal service, because we need these government service centres all across the country,” President Ali said.
He added that residents will soon see the transformation taking shape. (DPI)
