[www.inewsguyana.com] – A policeman is now dead after giving chase to a prisoner, who escaped while under guard at the Georgetown Public Hospital GPHC).
Before escaping from the health institution, the prisoner snatched a policeman’s weapon. It is the same weapon he used to shoot the policeman who responded to the report. The prisoner has since been recaptured.
iNews understands that the prisoner, while being guarded by a police rank at the hospital, gave the cop a trashing and sprinted out of the Accident and Emergency Unit.
The prisoner, it was reported requested to use the washroom and he opted to use the female washroom. When the rank went behind him to get him out of the washroom, he slammed the door in the rank’s face, snatched the gun and attempted to fire the weapon.
