Police destroy 10 acres of marijuana plants

[www.inewsguyana.com] – Police destroyed ten acres of marijuana plants and arrested two persons, during a drug eradication exercise on Monday, September 17 at Yarrowkabra, Soesdyke/Linden Highway.

According to the police, two fields of marijuana plants, about 10 acres in size, were found with approximately 100,000 plants ranging in height between 3 feet and 10 feet. The plants were destroyed along with nurseries and a large quantity of seedlings, and three camps. Two men were arrested and are in police custody. Charges will be made shortly.
