One dead, four injured after pick – up turns turtle

[www.inewsguyana.com] – A Miner has died and four other persons sustained injuries following an accident at Micobe, Potaro on Saturday (August 2).

According to police, at about 10:00 hours yesterday 37 – year – old  Leonard Raymond of Micobe, Potaro, was in the tray of a motor pick-up vehicle along with four other men when the vehicle turned turtle while the driver was negotiating a turn in the trail.

Raymond and the four others received injuries and were taken to the Mahdia Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival (DOA).

The others were treated and sent away. The driver is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
