Police are investigating a fatal accident that occurred at about 08:30hrs yesterday (Saturday) on the Suddie Public Road, Essequibo Coast, which resulted in the death of Krisnauth Kassinauth, 48 years, of Zorg, Essequibo Coast.
The police, in a statement this morning, said its investigations so far have revealed that Kassinauth was driving a motor cycle along the roadway, when it is alleged that a motor vehicle which was travelling in the opposite direction turned across the road in front of him and resulted in a collision.
Kassinauth was admitted to the Suddie Hospital where he later succumbed. The driver of the motor vehicle is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
