Mon Repos woman granted bail in passport fraud case

Thirty – one – year old Devika Das of 307 Mon Repos, East Coast Demerara appeared before Chief Magistrate Priya Beharry charged with procuring a passport, signing an untrue statement knowing it to be false.

It is alleged that on March 13, 2012 the accused with intention to procure a passport she signed an untrue statement knowing it to be false with the name Bibi Zaicoon Ally.

The woman who was represented by Attorney – at – Law Paul Fung A Fat pleaded not guilty to the offence and the Magistrate granted bail in the sum of $50,000.
