Trinidad and Tobago – The search for Hassina Sarah Khan ended yesterday (Friday January 15) in a gravel track off Esperanza Road, Couva, where the body of the 41-year-old woman was found.

The mother of three was last seen alive on Tuesday morning near her workplace at Universal Foods Ltd, Point Lisas. It was the same day her last child, Gabriella, turned five.

Police said an ex-lover, who was seen arguing with Khan on the day she vanished, was detained on Wednesday. He allegedly confessed to murdering Khan and dumping her body in a secluded area off the roadway.

The man allegedly confessed after Khan’s five-year-old daughter visited him in police custody begging for her mother, relatives said.
