Miner remanded for possession of marijuana

[www.inewsguyana.com] – Twenty – year – old Rajindranauth Sookdeo, a Miner, accused of the possession of cannabis for the purpose of trafficking appeared before City Magistrate Fabayo Azore, where he denied the charge.

The court heard that Sookdeo of Lot 19 Section ‘C’ Clonbrook, East Coast Demerara, on Monday November 23, at Aranka Police Station, Cuyuni Mazaruni had in his possession 19 grams of cannabis for the purpose of trafficking.

He was remanded to prison and will make his next court appearance on December 07, before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan.
