A 34-year-old miner is expected to be charged soon after he was found in possession of a quantity of cannabis and ecstasy following a search conducted on Thursday afternoon.
Based on police information, at about 13:30hrs, ranks performing their duties in the vicinity of the Bartica Stelling observed the suspect- a Bartica resident- acting in a suspicious manner.
As such, a search was conducted on the man and it was then that 41 grams of cannabis and 28.3 grams of ecstasy were found in his possession.
He was immediately apprehended.
