May Day cricket Cup receives its first boost

[www.inewsguyana.com] – Popular businessman, Mohamed Latif of Linepath, Upper Corentyne, Berbice became the first sponsor of the May Day cricket Cup set for May 2 at the historic Albion Sports Complex.

Latif noted that he was happy to be onboard with such a tournament and pledged continued sponsorship for the event.

Dennis DeRoop, a member of the organizing committee thanked Latif for the support and noted that his sponsorship will go a far way in developing the tournament.

Archrivals Berbice and Demerara will clash in a feature T20 game with the winning team receiving $200,000 while the losing team will get half the amount. The Man of the Match will receive $20,000.

This year’s activity bowls off from 10:00h. Tickets cost $1000, with children under 12 admitted free.
