Quincy Bernard, a 31-year-old man from Lot 14 Church Street, Stanleytown, West Bank Demerara, for whom a ‘wanted bulletin’ was issued for the offence of Sexual Assault, was arrested by Police today.
He turned up at the Diamond Police Station at around 13:30hrs today, accompanied by his Lawyer, Attorney-at-Law Nigel Hughes. Bernard was immediately arrested and placed in Police custody.
His body was examined, and abrasions were seen on both of his knees. He was questioned as to how he got the abrasions, and he alleged that he ran and fell to the ground.
He was escorted to the Diamond Regional Hospital, where he was medically examined by a doctor on duty. There was no gunshot injury on his body.
