Man hits woman in head with beverage case – court hears

Thirty – one – year old Devon Reid was today placed on $200,000 bail for the offenses of malicious wounding and assault.

Reid of 177 Waterloo Street Georgetown pleaded not guilty before Magistrate Judy Latchman.

According to the allegations, on July 20 at Waterloo Street, he picked up an empty beverage case and dealt Abiola Campbell a lash to her head. Police prosecutor Vishnu Hunte did not object to bail which was granted at $100,000 for each of the offence. Devon Reid will reappear in court on July 30. [Royan Abrams]
