[www.inewsguyana.com] – The police are conducting investigations into the circumstances surrounding the death of a male nurse who succumbed while receiving medical treatment at a city hospital this morning.
Thirty one – year – old James Peter, a male nurse attached to the Balwant Singh Hospital and who resides on Camp Street, Georgetown was reportedly at the Kitty Seawall at about 23:30 hrs last night (Wednesday October 22), when he was stabbed to his shoulder (close to the neck).
Police say the circumstances under which he was stabbed are not yet quite clear. Earlier, hundreds of persons had lined the seawalls to watch the festive Diwali motorcade.
Peter, who is said to be an Indian National, was taken to the hospital where he later died.
