DSC05165Wayne Khamid of McKenzie Linden appeared before Magistrate Judy Latchman charged with the offence of break and enter. Khamid pleaded not guilty to the charge which stated that he stole several articles from his sister Gracia Nedd on September 01 at McKenze Linden. The court was told that the complainant secured her home and went out and upon returning home, she saw the accused leaving her yard with a bag in his hand, which contained the stolen items.

The police prosecutor objected to bail citing the seriousness and prevalence of the offence and the fact that both parties share the same yard. The Magistrate refused bail and the accused will make his next court appearance on September 10 at the Christiansburg Magistrates Court.[Royan Abrams]
