LaCruz family murders: Shooter was not a licenced firearm holder – Police

Relative to an alleged murder committed on Malinie La Cruz, ⁠Waveney LaCruz, ⁠Sue Ann LaCruz.

Which occurred at Ideal Road, Soesdyke Linden Highway, on Wednesday, April 23, 2025.

As investigations continue, detectives canvassed the area, and CCTV footage was extracted; which showed when the now deceased returned home, followed by the suspect who came on a motor cycle. It also showed when the now deceased entered the house, followed by the suspect. An argument was overheard on the audio from the CCTV footage, followed by several loud explosions. It also showed the suspect at a western door and when he drank something from a bottle and immediately fell to the ground.

A search was conducted at the West Ruimveldt home of Parmanand Ramdehol, but nothing illegal was found. Checks made at Guyana Police Fore’s Criminal Records Office (CRO) confirmed he was not a licensed firearm holder.

The firearm has since been sent to the ‘Ballistic Section’ to be analyzed.

Seon LaCruz, who was injured, is reportedly in a stable condition.

Several persons have since been interviewed as investigations continue.
