Twenty – Seven – year old Adrian Reece of West La Penitence Georgetown pleaded not guilty today to an assault charge in the Georgetown Magistrates’ court.
The charge stated that on August 7, Reece assaulted Anastacia Calendar. The prosecution’s case stated that on the day of the incident Calendar and Reece who are husband and wife had a misunderstanding during which the man became annoyed and dealt the woman several slaps to her face.
Reece, who was not represented by an Attorney was placed on $10,000 bail and bonded to keep the peace pending the termination of the matter. He will make his next court appearance on September 12. [Royan Abrams]
